The Casino Building and Carousel anchor the
Southern End of the Boardwalk. It serves as the
pathway to neighboring Ocean Grove.

The building is
need of major, major renovations. Someday - Bumper
cars, Funhouses, Shops and perhaps a
"summer" movie theatre. Movies and Ice
Cream as you stroll the Boardwalk with your best
friends.....just like ago, in the following ad......

If you walk around the old
building and listen, you can still here the
laughter and sounds of the Casino.....

The Casino, which once contained an Ice Skating Rink,
hosted Roller Derby and Flea Markets is slated to be rebuilt - tore down
for the most part to be rebuilt "architecturally significant".
We will see....

The Casino and neighboring Palace Amusements
were used as
the setting for the movie "City
by the Sea" starring Robert DeNiro. Asbury Park is used to
portray a dilapidated Long Beach, NY. In 2008, the Hillary Duff
movie was partially filmed here as well.

In the popular
video game, Grand Theft Auto IV, the Asbury
Park Casino is used as the setting for
" The Alderney Casino" an
abandoned casino. The renderings in the game
is a unique representation of the building
at the time (even nicer then it really
was).
