worked in the"poker room" in the
casino.I guess it was '73-74 not
sure.Nothing was automated,winners had to
hold up thier hands to get thier coupons. We
walked around the room gave out change and
tickets to the winners.

Casino and the whole boardwalk was such a
huge part of my teenage yrs. Cruising the
circuit @ 16 and then all the bars @ 18. Boy
do I miss it today!!!!!!!

worked at The Casino Coffee Shop while in
high school for the Resnick's. Anita Resnick
passed away yesterday- RIP.......

I
was just in Asbury over Christmas and went
by the Carousel house. What a great build as
are many of the building in Asbury. I can
think of nothing that would fit that
building better then another carousel.

My
first job at fourteen, was a waitress at the
Miramar, honestly after all these years I
can't remember if it was in Convention Hall
or Casino! I lived in Loch Arbour, which is
across Deal lake from Asbury, so it was easy
just to walk to work. The only funny thing I
can remember is my boyfriend coming in one
day order...

The
late 60's and early 70's were a blast down
on the boardwalk. Grew up on the amusement
rides the carousel, palace amusement, bumper
cars, the peddle boats then gravitated to
the clubs. Remember the Stones playing
Convention Hall. Elton John with Chick Corea.
For $ .75 I got to see Dr. Zoom and the
Sonic Boom at ...

My
parents brought us once awhile but there are
no cute stories as I wasnt allowed to go to
Asbury Park & look @ how it has come
back today!

Hey we worked there 75-76 and I still laugh when I think about 2 pushes on our change belt gave you $1 in dimes. At least in the poker room it was heated in the winter
