Sea Water, which surrounds the
resort in almost limitless supply, was placed on sale at .39
cents per gallon today by city officials.
Sherman Miscler, beach
director, said 6 gallons were sold, mostly to people who wanted
to soak their feet. The water, piped in from the ocean, is being
sold at the Boardwalk Health Spa, a public salt water bath
operated by the city.
City officials recalled today
that tank-truck loads were carted away by a mid-western concern
and sold as a health drink until the federal government put a
stop to that practice.
