The Stone Pony has
become a stop for many musicians in their career. There is so
much to be said about the Pony and how the club helped keep
Asbury Park on the map. For
many music fans from the around the world, coming to Asbury Park
and the Stone Pony are a must. It is one of the last remaining
of the original music venues that Asbury Park was known for -
For Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Billy Hector, John
Eddie and countless others have all played at the Pony -directly
across from the once glamorous Asbury Park Boardwalk. There is
a good possibility the Stone Pony will be relocated from its
current location to another spot along the Boardwalk for the
long awaited redevelopment of this once glorious City. But as of
today, it remains at 2nd Ave and Ocean. |
